Team Member Spotlight: Tyler Gustafson

Written by Venture Title | May 21, 2025

Meet Tyler Gustafson, Sales Executive at Venture Title & Escrow. Based out of our Nampa office, Tyler brings a deep passion for building relationships and a commitment to excellence that plays a pivotal role in our team’s success across the region.

Please tell us a bit about yourself, your role at Venture, and how you got started in the industry?

My role as a Sales Executive here at Venture is all about building relationships, being a face of the company, generating business, and sharing our story with our customers. I’ve been in this industry for about 15 years now. I actually stepped away from it for a bit, but when I heard that some former colleagues were launching a new title company, I reached out to see if they were hiring. I trusted the leadership team and wanted to work alongside them again. I knew the vibe they’d bring, and I wanted to be part of building something great from the ground up.

With your experience and local roots, what drives you in your role, and what do you enjoy most about working in Canyon County?

One of the biggest challenges in this role is getting out there and consistently building strong relationships—but that’s also where the reward comes in. I’ve learned over the years that having a solid team around you and delivering on your promises is key. Staying consistent and persistent has always been my approach. The highs come when you bring in customers who turn into raving fans. The lows? Getting told no—but you keep showing up and pushing forward.

What really excites me is getting back to my roots. I grew up in Canyon County—went to South Junior High and graduated from Skyview—so now I get to reconnect with people I went to school with, many of whom are in real estate. It feels like coming home. I love the rural feel of the area and the sense of community.

Being part of a local company where I also have ownership brings a lot of pride. I enjoy hitting the local golf courses, but more than that, I value being part of a business that gives back. Supporting the community is what drives the Treasure Valley, and I’m proud to be part of something that contributes to that.

How would you describe the culture at Venture, and what do you enjoy most about working with your team?

It’s amazing. Even though we’re in our third year, I still feel like we’re shaping and growing it every day. We have a strong team dynamic, and our culture is built around what we call “The VIBE”—Venture, Integrity, Bold, and Experience. Everything we do ties back to delivering excellent service while keeping it simple, predictable, and personal for everyone who closes with us.

What I love most is the daily interaction with my teammates. Whether it’s venting, sharing wins, or talking through strategies, there’s always something to learn. I enjoy hearing what others are doing that’s working and applying that to my own approach. For me, it all comes back to teamwork—you’re only as good as your team, and we’ve got to lift each other up and celebrate together.

For someone just getting into the industry or stepping into a sales role, what’s your biggest piece of advice?

Just do it. That’s always been my go-to advice. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, even if you’re nervous or unsure—just do it. As long as it’s safe, take the leap. Every experience teaches you something, whether it’s a win, a failure, or something in between. You’ll grow from it. And most importantly, stay positive. You’ve got to keep a positive mindset in this job.
